TS Wildlife Control was founded to provide Maryland residents with professional and humane wildlife removal and relocation services, 24 hours a day. We provide trapping and wildlife removal services in Baltimore City, Baltimore County and Howard County. TS Wildlife Control is owned and operated by a Zoologist
with over ten years experience in animal husbandry, management and handling.
Many companies advertise "humane" service. They mean that animals
are quickly euthanized after they are trapped. At TS Wildlife Control,
we properly relocate all animals that can be relocated legally. For those
animals that cannot be relocated, we can find alternatives to trapping
and killing. Conflicts between people and wildlife occur because the animals' old habitat is not longer available and they adapt to living in and around our homes and buildings, feeding off the food we provide (garbage cans, gardens, etc.). We owe wildlife the chance to live with us; the simple elimination of problem animals does not solve the problem. Squirrel Removal in Baltimore: These familiar tree dwellers are loved by some and hated by others. In areas where gray squirrel populations are large, these rodents can be formidable pests. Squirrels are intelligent and agile and can quickly learn to adapt to changing circumstances.
Squirrels feed on nuts, berries, leaves and seeds. They will also chew siding and certain painted surfaces for the salts and minerals they contains.
It is imperative that squirrels residing in the attic
be removed; they can cause severe damage to wood, insulation and drywall.
They also present a serious fire hazard as they will chew electrical wires
and bring in paper and dry leaves to nest in, which may ignite a fire. There are three species of birds that cause the majority of structural damage in our area. Pigeons and starlings are the most common year-round pests. Downy woodpeckers drill winter burrows in wood-sided homes during the cold winter months only. Starlings rest in attics and vents of dryers and stoves. The nest material clog vents and renders them non-functional. Pigeons roost on ledges and parking garages where their droppings cause considerable damage to buildings and pose a health hazard. Every bird problem is unique whether you have a problem with woodpeckers, starlings or pigeons. TS Wildlife Control can custom-design a bird control program for your home or business. TS Wildlife Control sells and installs high quality products to scare away unwanted birds, and as always, all of our methods are 100% safe and humane. Bat Removal In Baltimore: Bats are beneficial and interesting animals. Unfortunately, they are also some of the most feared and misunderstood animals in America. Most people are unaware of the presence of bats in their neighborhoods until they decide to take up residence in and around homes. The most common type of bat in our area is the Big Brown Bat. Also common is the Little Brown Bat, Evening Bat and Eastern Pipistrelle. All Maryland bats are insectivores, feeding on thousands of mosquitoes, moths and beetles every night. Bats play a vital role in controlling crop damaging insects as well as mosquitoes, which are a constant pest on summer evenings. Bats roost in attics, chimneys, and under siding and window shutters. They prefer hot, dark crevices in which to bear young from spring through mid-summer. Bats do not get tangled in people's hair, and a very small percentage carry rabies. Bats can also occasionally get into the living area of a home by accident. When this happens do not chase the bat! This will cause it to hide usually where it cannot be found. The best plan of action is to confine the bat in a small room and place a towel under the door to prevent escape. Then, call TS Wildlife Control 24 hours a day for help. A bat in the home may be evidence of a colony somewhere in the structure. Maryland law only permits bats to be evicted from a structure between the months of September and February. (This protects the young that may not be weaned until then.) It is also illegal to kill bats in Maryland! TS Wildlife Control uses a harmless, passive system of eviction, and we can also provide clean-up of guano. We are certified by Bat Conservation International as bat-friendly removal professionals.
